Hilton has strict requirements concerning the products DoubleTree owners must use and provide.

Hilton also expects DoubleTree franchisees to possess hotel management experience. Franchisees without the requisite experience may have to retain a management company with appropriate qualifications. In some cases, Hilton deems the property is best managed by its own company.
