Morano Gelato is a New Hampshire-based company dedicated to promoting the art of gelato-making through its production of authentic Italian gelato in small, concentrated batches.

We've put together a franchise system based on our philosophy of high quality gelato made on-site each morning and we're looking for hard-working, community oriented entrepreneurs who share our passion for Italy and traditionally-made Italian gelato.

At Morano Gelato we make a Sicilian-style gelato with many flavors consisting of mostly a water base as opposed to all dairy base, creating bold and creamy flavors that are lower in butterfat than most American ice cream.

Owner Morgan Morano trained in New York City and Italy, has spent 6 years in the gelato industry, 15 years in the food industry and has extensive gelato-making experience.

Morano Gelato business owners will receive thorough on-site training, gelato-making training and will receive continued training and support each year.

New flavors, tips and techniques will be introduced every year to each Morano Gelato business.

Our Philosophy at Morano Gelato

At Morano Gelato, we are committed to serving the freshest and highest quality products we can create: from gelato, sorbet, and granita, to espresso and Italian hot chocolate. Like other food artisans, we wake up early to start gelato production and finish in the afternoon so that each flavor is consumed within hours of its extraction from the machine.

Our gelato is an extremely fresh product and we make it from scratch every morning and aim to sell out every evening. This ensures the highest quality gelato for our customers.

Supporting the local agriculture and economy is important to us. We work with farms and businesses in the community to source important ingredients for our gelato and sorbet and inspire community-specific flavors, such as maple in Hanover, New Hampshire at our flagship store. Even still, many of our ingredients come from Italy in our on-going commitment to making traditional and unique Italian flavors.

We take pride in our high standards and traditionalism during a time period where most gelato shops in this country are choosing to make familiar American flavors or looking to be edgy without fully understanding the science behind gelato-making.

We're devoted to improving our gelato and will continue to introduce new flavors based on those found in Italy or inspired by a community we're in, but, our dedication to tradition will ultimately distinguish us among other gelato shops in America.

We've chosen to set our own path and return to a lost art, combining traditional and modern production methods to make and continue to strive for exceptional Pure Italian Gelato.
