What will I receive as part of the How Do You Roll? franchise system?

You and your key staff members will receive training at our corporate location for up to 75 hours (about 9 days). You will also receive pre-opening help at your own location, for up to 7 days. You will have access to all How Do You Roll?'s trademarks, approved suppliers, and our exclusive operational tools and recipes. And, we'll provide you with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you run your business effectively.

What type of prior experience do I need to have?

It is not necessary that you have prior foodservice industry experience, but it is beneficial. Management experience and team leadership skills are also important. No matter your skills or background, we will provide the tools and training you need to run your own How Do You Roll? restaurant. We do, of course, expect that you will also have the right amount of capital to invest in the franchise.

How much will the How Do You Roll? franchise investment cost me?

The estimated required investment for a single unit start-up franchise ranges from $252,088 to $467,378, including an initial franchise fee of $30,000 and three months of working capital. The franchise fee for any subsequent franchises under a Multi-Unit Development Agreement will be $30,000. As with any new business venture, it's important that you have the capital needed to fund your new business

Is financing available?

No, we do not offer direct financing to franchisees. We may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending agencies, on a case-by-case basis.
What is the term of the franchise agreement?
The initial term of your How Do You Roll? franchise agreement is ten years, with three subsequent five-year successor terms.
Are there ongoing fees paid to the franchisor?

Franchisees will be required to pay royalties equal to 7% of net sales. These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of new recipes, procedures, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades.

Are there any advertising fees?

Franchisees will be required to spend up to 4% of revenues on all marketing efforts; these funds will be distributed between local marketing expenditures and system marketing fund contributions, at the franchisor's discretion. Monies that are submitted for the system marketing fund are used to develop marketing strategies to promote the How Do You Roll? brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials.

What type of support will I receive?

We will provide ongoing support services to you by phone, email, and periodic onsite visits to your local restaurant. Plus, we regularly update our operations manual with new procedures and other information designed to improve operations for all franchisees.

How do I get started?
